This certificate is provided to Croatian nationals who are needed to have a work permit to obtain a job in the UK. To be qualified to work, individuals in this group should get the purple certificate. To gain this certificate, they should have a sponsor employer in the UK, and the appeal for it can be completed from outside the UK. The regulation of having a sponsor employer or a purple certificate does not comprise those who have a degree delivered by a UK educational organization, or those who are recommended in Tier 1 Exceptional Talent. They should receive a blue registration certificate as a substitute for working in the UK.
Circumstances to Take a Purple Registration Certificate
- Should meet the necessities for a blue registration certificate
- Should have a job proposal by a UK listed sponsor company for the purple registration certificate (the reference sponsorship number will be required as evidence)
- Should have a good knowledge of the English Language
- Should have a letter from the company, as an alternative to the sponsorship certificate number
How to Appeal for a Purple Registration Certificate
This is a two-step procedure, where the first step is obtaining the sponsorship certificate from a Tier 2 or Tier 5 certified sponsor company, and secondly, appeal for work permission or purple registration certificate. To gain a sponsorship certificate from any of Tier 2 or Tier 5 sponsors for working in any job in Tier 5, the similar circumstances apply for Croatian nationals as for all individuals in Tier 5. The same grips for those in Tier 2, excluding for the following settings:
- English language necessities
- Maintenance necessities
- Tier 2 ‘Cooling-off’ period
- Work is allowed at NQF Level 4 and above
Croatian nationals who do not require a sponsorship certificate are:
- Those in a Foundation Programme Doctor or Dentist
- Domestic Employee in a Private Household
- A Representative of a Foreign Business
With a purple registration certificate, Croatian nationals are permitted to work in any job allowed by their certificate of sponsorship. To appeal for a job, the applicant of this group must provide:
- Purple registration certificate
- The valid passport or any other travel document
The visa processing cost for applying to receive the purple registration certificate and for any dependent is £65. You can save the appeal form for a blue registration certificate from the link (https://www.gov.uk/permanent-residence-document-eu-eea).
