When you apply for an Indonesia work visa, both you and your employer must submit several documents. There’s the standard set of Indonesia visa documents. Still, you also need to provide different sets of documents for each application you and your employer make, such as the Expatriate Placement Plan (RPTKA) or work permit (IMTA) and residence permit (ITAS).
Documents mandatory for RPTKA appeal
- The RPTKA appeal form
- letter from your company, which clarifies why they are recruiting you and what job position you will have in their company
- Company documents, such as the incorporation paper, business license, and tax number
- An administrative structure of the company
- The corporation’s annual reports on the number of local and international staffs (Wajib Lapor)
- A Letter of recommendation from another organization if the company you will work for agreements with oil and gas, mining, or transportation.
Documents mandatory for IMTA appeal
- The IMTA appeal form
- Copy of your passport
- Evidence of education and job experience associated with your profession and the position you will have
- A credential of work experience (at least five years) that is linked to the job
- A letter from you, affirming that you agree to be working in the Indonesian company
- Evidence of insurance coverage issued by an Indonesian insurance company
- National Social Security rule and Tax identification number (NPWP), if you will work in Indonesia for lengthier than six months
- Evidence of payment of the DPKK (Skill & Development Fund) Fee (USD 1,200/year)
- Two passport-size color photos of yourself as per the requirements
Documents needed for KITAS (visa/residence permit) appeal
From the company:
- A copy of the RPTKA
- A copy of their guarantor’s identity card (KTP)
- A copy of the identity card of a local worker by now employed for the company
- Company papers, such as:
- The NPWP tax identification number
- The Business license (SIUP)
- The Capital Registration License (SPPMA) from the BKPM;
- The company’s registration letter (TDP)
- The company’s annual reports on the number of local and international staffs (Wajib Lapor)
- The company’s certificate of domicile (SKTU)
- The company’s endorsement certificates and any associated permits (SITU & HO)
- The approval of deed establishment (Akta Notaris) by the Department of Justice
- A blank sheet of paper with the company’s letterhead pad
- The corporation’s stamp
From you (Indonesia work visa appeal):
- A colored photocopy of your passport. Passport must be legal for at least for another 18 months
- A colored copy of your resume. It should have the company’s stamp and a signature by a company director over the stamp.
- A colored copy of your university diploma/s or the highest level of educational degree. It should be translated either in English or Bahasa Indonesia (if it is not already), and have the company’s stamp and a signature by a company director over the stamp.
- A credential of work knowledge (at least five years) that’s linked to the job
- Evidence of insurance coverage issued by an Indonesian insurance company
- Two passport-size colored photos as per the requirements
- If you are taking family associates with you:
- Color scans of their passports
- Documentation of Marriage for spouses (in English or Bahasa Indonesia)
- Credential of Birth for children (in English or Bahasa Indonesia)
- Two passport-size photos of each family associate
