Qualifications

There are also some different qualifications to obtain a treaty investor visa. These are as follows:

  • The investor should have the nationality of a treaty country.
  • If it is a business, national of treaty country’s must own at least 50 percent of the business.
  • The investment funds or assets should be significant and persistent to confirm the effective operation of the enterprise.
  • The investment should be an active operational enterprise. Uncommitted funds in a bank account, sluggish investment, a paper organization or similar things are not qualifying as an investment.
  • It should produce substantial revenue that creates a significant economic influence in the United States.
  • The applicant should have control over the funds, and the investment should be at risk in the commercial sense.
  • The applicant should maintain the development and control of the operations of an enterprise.  
  • The applicant should have prepared to depart the U.S when his/her E-2 status ends.

How to Apply for (E-1/E-2) Visa

 There are several following steps to apply for an E visa at AIT:

Fill in Form DS-160: Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application is the standard form for nonimmigrant visa claimants. It will have queries on your data, background, as well as the determination of visit to the U.S When you confirm it, you will get an authorization page and code which you need for your document file.

  • A valid document showing that if the applicant has been denied entry into or deported, or removed from the United States

Email supporting documents to AIT: Supporting documents should mail to AIT at [email protected] at least two weeks before the interview date. It will reduce visa interview significantly. There are some following requirements for electronic submission:

  • Subject line: The applicant should enter the appointment date/time/the applicant’s name (in English as listed on passport)/and passport number in the subject line. 
  • Email content: 
    • The U.S Enterprise, Business, or Company name; The applicant should list all the names, passport numbers, and their relationship, if more than one applicant from their family is applying together on the same day; 
    • The applicant phone number;  
    • The applicant company’s point of contact information;
  • Attachment limit: The applicant submission should not go above 70 pages in total. 
  • Attachment format: The only acceptable attach file formats are the following: DOC, DOCX, JPEG, JPG, PDF. But zip or online shared folders or links are not allowed.
  • Attachment name:  The applicant each attachment file should have a name according to its Demonstration.
  • Email submission: The applicant should email these attachments to [email protected] at least two weeks (14 days) before the interview date. 

Appear the interview: The visa interview will be regulated by authorized U.S Embassy official. The applicant must be present on the schedule and take their documents. The assessor will ask queries about their background and aim for going to the U.S The applicant must deliver correct information since if the authorized official feels that The applicant is not giving them any particulars, the official will reject their visa request.
